There are exhibitions, and then there are Bamboo Scenes exhibitions. Gearing up to thrill Hong Kong with its elevated brand concept, Bamboo Scenes will present a dynamic new exhibition event titled Hong Kong Contrasts from June 10-14. And, as is only appropriate, the exhibition will be held at Loft 22, the same special location where Bamboo Scenes officially launched in 2017. Showcasing the brand’s ethos of showcasing Hong Kong’s unique art scene, Hong Kong Contrasts is a vibrant collection of photographs that capture the city through the eyes of Hong Kong’s most exciting photographers.
All of Bamboo Scenes’ eight artists will be represented at the exhibition, showing highly personal photographs that capture the magic of the city in their own distinctive style. Get up close and personal with dreamy shots of Hong Kong’s natural side by 2020 International Landscape Photographer of the Year Kelvin Yuen. Be captivated by story-driven images by researcher-turned photographer Jeremy Cheung. Fall under the spell of Gideon de Kock’s transformative photos. Or perhaps ponder the intersection of architecture and photography in the stunning images by Kevin Mak and Vivien Liu. Captivating works by Photographers Elaine Li, Sharon Liu, May N. Kasahara will also be in the exhibition. Whatever style of photography you like, you’re sure to find something that appeals while discovering never-before-seen visions of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Contrasts, presented by Bamboo Scenes will be open to the public from Jun 10-14, 2021. You can reserve your tickets for the exhibition now through Eventbrite.
